SfB 2016 video freezes unexpectedly

This is a known issue and can occur due to poor network conditions (latency, packet loss, and jitter) because Forward Error Correction (FEC) is not triggered to protect video streams against packet loss.

To resolve this issue apply security update (KB3203382).

Skype for Business client July 5, 2016 updates

Microsoft has released an update for Skype for Business and Microsoft Lync 2013 on July 5, 2016. This update also includes the new Skype for Business client.

Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) (KB3115261)  The version number of this update is 15.0.4841.1000

Skype for Business 2016 (KB3115268)  The version number of this update is 16.0.4405.1000.

Several conferencing modalities no longer function for internal users after install of Microsoft .NET Framework Security Update MS16-065 on a Front End or Standard Edition server for Lync Server 2010, Lync Server 2013, or Skype for Business Server 2015.

Error messages you may receive:

• An error occurred during the Skype Meeting
• Network issues are keeping you from sharing notes and presenting whiteboards
